Raised by the Land, Even for a Weekend
A working farm stay for families wanting space, quiet and time together.
Let the land set the pace.
At Upland Farm, families stay on 107 acres of working farmland just outside Denmark. The days move with the light. Kids follow fence lines and watch cattle shift in the distance.
Inside Dune and Vine: stone, timber, linen — and a kitchen that works as hard as you do.
Paddocks beyond the door.
Mornings without rush.
Children tired in the best way.
That’s the luxury.

Things To Do Nearby
Beaches
For an easy “wow” day that works with young kids, head to William Bay National Park. Greens Pool (16km) is famous for its sheltered, calmer water protected by granite boulders - great for a gentle swim, rock-pool exploring, and low-stress beach time. From there, it’s an easy walk to Elephant Rocks (18km), where towering boulders create natural lookouts and a sheltered cove. It feels adventurous, without requiring a long hike.
Lazy Lunches
If you want an outing that keeps everyone happy, The Dam at Raintree (14km) is a strong family stop: you can do a proper lunch while the kids get space to move and play nearby, instead of being stuck at the table the whole time. It’s close to Denmark, so it’s also an easy “nap-friendly” half-day plan—out for lunch, back to the cabin for quiet time.
Animal Encounters
When you need a guaranteed win (especially for toddlers and early primary ages), the Denmark Animal Farm & Pentland Alpaca Stud (4km) is built for families. It’s a hands-on animal farm experience where kids can get close to a wide range of animals in a setting that’s explicitly family-friendly -perfect for school holiday energy.
Sweet Treats
Denmark does treats extremely well. The Denmark Chocolate Company (15km) markets itself as WA’s first licensed chocolate lounge, which makes it an easy rainy-day plan or a post-nap outing when you want something cosy and low-effort. If you’d rather lean into the “country” vibe, Bartholomews Meadery (15km) is a family-run honey business that’s well known locally for honey products and ice cream - one of those stops kids remember because it feels a bit different.
